We'd like nothing better than for folks to recognize us as non-denominational! We want
to be known simply as Christians, just ordinary diciples of Jesus Christ. As in all things we seek to retain
the divine language of the Bible, therefore for identification in a divided religious world we use church of Christ.
Our voluntary fellowship is not limited to any generation, race or nation. We want so much to
duplicate the church that Jesus established in the first century. The
church of Christ worldwide is a body of people drawn together by a common faith
in Jesus Christ for worship and ministering. Individually and collectively
we seek to follow in the footsteps of Jesus to glorify God and to bless the lives
of men. We seek to be zealous, but to avoid fanaticism.
Our work is financed by the voluntary giving of our members,
believing that God's plan is not to raise money, but to raise men! We oppose only
that which keeps men and women from being what God wants for each! We're determined to have Jesus as Lord!
Respecting His Lordship we reject anything that is added to or taken away from His teachings. We encourage
each person to "examine the Scriptures daily to see if what they're being taught is so."
We are sad about all the cults that have hurt the cause of Jesus so much, and we
grieve at the confused state of what used to be Christianity. This convinces us even more that Jesus is
Lord only to the degree that we demand a "thus says the Lord" for what we do and teach.
We have no denominational affiliation or earthly headquarters. We automatically have
unity and fellowship with all who accept and practice Jesus and the Apostles' teaching. We observe
the Lord's Supper each Sunday, according to Apostolic precedent.
Our music is the praise of our lips without mechanical accompaniment as was church
worship during the first six centuries of Christianity. Our prayers are heartfelt and spontaneous.
Church membership and salvation together are dependent upon an obedient faith in
Jesus Christ as God's Son. This means our faith leads us to repent of our sins and to be baptized into
Jesus Christ by immersion for the remission of our sins. Such obedience is proof that faith is real and constitutes the
human part of the new birth, with God cleansing from sin and adding that part of the new birth, and adding that person to His church.
